This site has been created to show visitors our Self-Catering Accommodation, our Farm, the amazing scenery that surrounds us and a sample of the many activities within easy reach.

We also hope this site will be useful to anyone who is considering a holiday in our part of the world - regardless of where they will be staying.

We have recently acquired an additional property, (just three miles away in the sleepy village of Thornhill).
'HeatherLea' is situated at the east end of the main street and offers a peaceful holiday experience with access to all the amenities you would expect in a friendly rural village.
We will have a site specifically tailored for Heatherlea in the near future. In the mean time, more pictures, rates and availability information can be obtained by contacting fiona@fordhead.co.uk.

We are fortunate to enjoy what is regarded as being the most spectacular scenery in the whole of Scotland. Each topic on this site will feature a view from our cottages. These images have not been enhanced in any way and are exactly what you will see from our location. A compass device on each image shows which direction we were facing when the photograph was shot. When all the topics are on-line, there should be examples of the surrounding views from every direction.

The site is intended for viewing in Internet Explorer 5.x and above. The pages should be viewed in a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels in 16bit or 24 bit colour, (most PC's run at this configuration or better). The site is graphic-intensive, so please be patient if you are on a 56k connection.
