Central Scotland is serviced by 3 International Airports

  Glasgow International Airport
  Glasgow Prestwick International Airport
  Edinburgh International Airport
These airports also cater for domestic flights from within the UK.

There are 2 feasible options to make the journey to Fordhead

1: Hire a Car and drive there.
2: Train to Stirling, then take a bus or taxi

A third option of taxi directly from the airport is possible, but only if you are prepared to pay a hefty price
(30+ miles from Glasgow or Edinburgh, 50+ miles from Prestwick).

You can book your car in advance, either via the internet or by telephone. Most of the reputable car hire firms have premises at the airports, so all you need to do is pick up your car when you land and return it there on your way home. (We will have a number of popular car hire sites in our links section soon).
As you are probably aware, the convention in the UK is to drive on the LEFT side of the road. For those of you who normally drive on the right, it may take a little while to become accustomed to the change. To help you appreciate some of the differences, we have put together a page of handy hints and tips here.
Once you have your car, begin your journey by following the appropriate directions below.
